Welcome to the Beginner's Department!!! We have three classrooms in this department divided out by ages; infants, toddlers & two year olds.
The infant age group is 6 weeks to 15 months. Here in the Infant room, we strive to provide your baby with a safe and nuturing learning environment. Our spacious room includes, soft reading area, dramatic play area, fine motor & gross motor areas. We do hand and foot art projects which make for adorable keepsakes. Our routines are based on each child's individual needs. Our teachers enjoy playing, reading, singing, holding and loving your little one's while you are away.
The Toddler age group is 15 months to 24 months. In our Toddler Room, we strive to make every opportunity a learning moment. Since toddlers love to explore and learn through play, we provide them with the enviroment to do so. We offer a healthy balance of hands on activities, dress-up for dramatic play, quiet reading space and a fantastic gross motor area to help promote the child's mind and body development.
In our two year old classroom, we care for children between the ages of 24 months through 36 months. Engaging in the concept of "learning through play", we have a fun filled routine of art, gross motor with music and motion and plenty of indoor/outdoor activitites. Our classroom also seeks to build the framework for independence, self reliance through potty training, personal care routines, social/emotional skills with lots of smiles and encouragement.

Sonshine Kids offers an excellent full day and half day preschool program. Half day sessions are 8:30am-11:30am and Full day sessions are between the hours of 6:00am-6:00pm. We have 6 preschool classrooms and every child is divided by age. Therefore we have two 3 year old classrooms, one 3-4 year old classroom, two 4-5 year old classroom and the half day classroom 8:30am-11:30am with ages 3-5 year olds.
Expect the unexpected! The preschool program based on "learning through play" with variety of science, math, music & movement, nature, literacy, dramatic play and hands on art activities. Our curriculum is theme based units combined with The Creative Curriculum Strategies.

Before & After School Program
Sonshine Kids offers a wonderful Before & After School Program located at East, West & Grafton Elementary School. The program begins at 6:00 am and ends 6:00 pm.
Sonshine Kids offers time for homework, healthy snacks, exciting projects with a healthy balance of free choice activities.
School Age Summer Camp
Sonshine Kids also offers an action packed Summer Camp. School Age Summer Camp is for children who have completed Kindergarten all the way through age 12. The children are divided into two different age groups; Kindergartener through 2nd Grader and 3rd Grader through 5th Grader.
The Summer Camp begins in May, when school gets out, and ends in August when school begins. This program keeps the School Age children very busy. They will receive a healthy balance between free choice activties, planned activities, field trips & much more.
